DJ Quest

DJ Quest (Jesse) is always concocting fresh new ideas for parties. Shenzhen’s foremost drum & bass proponent, he began organizing events in 2007 (starting with the China Surf Open!) and hasn’t looked back. He started making beats with old vinyl and a vintage keyboard sampler in 2000 and has been DJing in SZ since Spring of 2008, getting started at the legendary Ibiza Bar. Quest is also a huge proponent of old school hip hop, vinyl, turntables, yoga, surfing, and more. He finally came up with this Fresh idea after two years of events, wanting to take Shenzhen’s underground music scene to the next level. He works as a photographer and lives to surf.
